large family home on narrow lakefront property
This large family home is situated on a beautiful property in Kelowna with frontage onto Okanagan Lake. In order to keep the scale of the house down (as is we like to do in our designs) the upper floor is built into the roof space thus reducing the amount of visible building mass. We believe this design approach creates attractive looking houses - lower in scaled and well proportioned in relation to it's footprint.
The house interior is very traditional with a lot of attention paid to richly detailed wood columns, coffered ceiling and custom TV / fireplace cabinet in the great room. Generous but not oversized bedrooms compliment this house along with teenage recreation room, gym, guest and music room. Simple styling, honest choice of materials make this a style home we like to refer to as "timeless traditional".
